Overview
This course will review current evidence for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management. This hybrid course features didactic lectures, interactive Q&A sessions, and a case-based, interactive fetal heart rate monitoring session with an inter professional panel of experts.

Objectives
As a result of the education, I intend to:

  1. Counsel patients regarding the option of first trimester anatomy ultrasound and identify patients for whom this is indicated
  2. Improve management of fetal heart rate tracings in labor and coordination of care
  3. Counsel patients regarding the risks and benefits of vaccinations in pregnancy, and current recommendations
  4. Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with suspected morbidly adherent placenta
  5. Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with early pregnancy complications
  6. Evaluate and manage patients with a prior preterm birth
  7. Screen, diagnose, and manage patients with anemia in pregnancy
  8. Screen, diagnose, and treat syphilis in pregnancy
  9. Improve management of lupus in pregnancy and postpartum
  10. Optimize strategies and management of induction of labor
  11. Evaluate and manage patients with prior bariatric surgery or on GLP-1 receptor agonists in pregnancy
  12. Improve coordination of patient care throughout pregnancy and delivery with respect to communication and hand-offs

Advance Practice Registered Nurses and Registered Nurses: For the purpose of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Physician Assistants: The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that the AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM are acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification.

California Pharmacists: The California Board of Pharmacy accepts as continuing professional education those courses that meet the standard of relevance to pharmacy practice and have been approved for AMA PRA category 1 CreditTM. If you are a pharmacist in another state, you should check with your state board for approval of this credit.

California Psychologists: The California Board of Psychology recognizes and accepts for continuing education credit courses that are provided by entities approved by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM is acceptable to meeting the CE requirements for the California Board of Psychology. Providers in other states should check with their state boards for acceptance of CME credit.

Midwife Credit: The American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME. NCCPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ is accepted by the Certificate Maintenance Program (CMP) of the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) for programs relevant to midwifery. The American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for continuing education.

ACOG Members: The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ toward Continuing Education Requirements.

Cancellations received in writing at least 30 days before the conference start date will receive a refund of registration fees minus a 10% administrative fee. Requests received between 30 days and 14 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the start date.
