Smoking Cessation Leadership Center Live Webinars (2025-2026)

The purpose of this program is to:

• Decrease smoking prevalence

• Increase number of smoke-free facilities

• Increase number of calls to the telephone quitline

• Increase number of providers referring patients who smoke to the telephone quitline, and other cessation tools

• Decrease smoking prevalence among health professionals who serve clients who smoke

1. Assess tobacco’s deadly toll on individuals, families and communities
2. Apply best-practices in making a setting smoke-free (i.e. in a hospital, clinic, community center, etc.)
3. Assess barriers to delivering tobacco dependence interventions across behavioral health care settings
4. Apply tobacco treatment for providers who serve people with mental health and addiction disorders
5. Refer differently, to utilize the expertise of other providers in an effort to augment cessation support
