The University of California, San Francisco School of Pharmacy (UCSF SOP) supports IPPE and APPE students annually to complete their experiential education requirements. The UCSF Pharmacy Residency Training Program also is sponsored jointly by UCSF Health and UCSF School of Pharmacy. The support of preceptors through CPE is critical to ensure effective education of UCSF students and residents and to meet ASHP residency standards. The program aims to equip preceptors with current evidence based clinical content to allow the delivery of high caliber patient care and teaching of learners. Pharmacy Grand Rounds are reflective of a collaborative effort between UCSF School of Pharmacy, UCSF Health and Residency Training Program. Pharmacy Grand Rounds are made up of a variety of focus areas including Preceptor Development, Research Series, Clinical Updates and Guest Faculty Speakers.

1. Define the importance of the clinical topic to the pharmacy staff at UCSF
2. Describe the role of the pharmacist in improving care delivered to patients at UCSF
3. Discuss common medication dosing, adverse events and how to mitigate these events for patients at UCSF
4. Discuss how UCSF policies relate to this clinical topic

In support of improving patient care, the University of California, San Francisco Office of CME is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

  

 

Cancellation Policy

Although each activity will have its own cancellation policy, in general, cancellations received in writing no less than 7 days prior to the start of an activity will be refunded, less a $75 administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests through our Refund Request form.

UCSF Office of CME reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets, hotel penalties, or other related personal expenses.
