Overview
Over the past 5-10 years, there have been tremendous advances in our understanding of the pathobiology of pulmonary hypertension, which have led to important new treatment strategies. Pulmonary hypertension, which is fortunately uncommon, can result in a variety of different conditions and age groups within pediatrics; as such, practitioners from several different specialties will be faced with this problem. This results in the need for multi-disciplinary care and education of a variety of practitioners from multiple disciplines. Unfortunately, within each subspecialty (cardiology, pulmonary, neonatology, hematology, rheumatology, and critical care) there is a large gap in their understanding of the latest advances in this complicated disease process. This conference is the only multi-disciplinary conference that focuses on the problem of neonatal and childhood pulmonary hypertension, bringing together international leaders in the field.

Objectives
As a result of the education, I intend to:

  1. Utilize treatment delivery systems effectively based on past, current, and future therapeutics for neonatal and childhood pulmonary vascular disease
  2. Apply new knowledge of the developmental vascular biology of neonatal pulmonary vascular disease to increase early detection of the pathology in infants
  3. Understand the latest clinical and basic science updates of pulmonary vascular disease
  4. Facilitate diagnosis and treatment choices using genetic testing

Term & Conditions

UCSF Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to deny any application. UCSF OCME will acknowledge exhibitor(s) support in course materials as permissible by the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education.

The exhibitor acknowledges that conducting marketing or promotional activities in any conference area except for their assigned exhibit space is prohibited. Exhibitors/Vendors may not engage in sales, promotional activities, or distribute product-specific advertisements while in the designated location of the CME activity. CME activity space includes, but is not limited to, lecture halls, breakout rooms, and laboratory areas.

Exhibitors and UCSF OCME agree to abide by the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited CE. Any actions that are not in accordance with the above-stated policies may result in the removal of the exhibiting company and its representatives from the conference site, in which case no refund of exhibit fees will be allowed.

Payment Deadline & Late Fee Policy

Exhibitor payment is due in full 30-days after your application has been accepted (and you have received the countersigned agreement); or two weeks before the course for late registrations. Your placement is determined by the date a countersigned agreement is sent.

To avoid a $750 late fee and ensure participation, proof of payment (such as a check copy, electronic payment confirmation, or remittance advice) must be submitted by the deadline.

Please note that exhibit placement and promotional benefits are not guaranteed until full payment and proof of payment are received.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds for cancellations of exhibit registrations.

Payment must be received prior to the event.
