UCSF Pharmacy Grand Rounds 2026-2027

1. Describe current evidence, clinical guidelines, and best practices related to medication therapy management and pharmacy practice.
2. Explain the rationale for clinical, operational, medication safety, and quality improvement initiatives presented during the program.
3. Discuss effective precepting, teaching, and educational strategies that support the development of pharmacy learners and healthcare professionals.
4. Recognize opportunities for improvement in medication-use processes, patient safety practices, and pharmacy operations.
5. Summarize emerging clinical, operational, regulatory, and educational developments relevant to contemporary pharmacy practice.

In support of improving patient care, the University of California, San Francisco Office of CME is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Pharmacy (ACPE Credit): This activity for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians has been approved for 1.00 continuing pharmacy education credits under the UANs JA0000302-0000-26-012-L01-P and JA0000302-0000-26-012-L01-T. Credits will be reported to CPEMonitor^(R) within 45 days of claim date. 

Cultural Competence for Pharmacy technicians and/or Pharmacists: This Activity meets (BPC) section 231 standards for a cultural competency course. It is a continuing education course that focuses on understanding and addressing the needs of patients who identify as LGBTQ+ or question their sexual orientation or gender identity, covers recognized health disparities faced by Black, Indigenous, and people of color, and demonstrates how sexual identity is impacted by intersectionality and has, at least in part, content designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide culturally sensitive care to diverse patient populations.

Up to 1.00 credit of this Activity were identified by the UCSF Office of CME as meeting the BPC section 231 standard for cultural competence.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing at least 30 days before the conference start date will receive a refund of registration fees minus a [10%] administrative fee. Requests received between 30 days and 14 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the start date.
