Overview
Over the last decade, the pace of technological innovation has been exponentially increased, leading to significant advances in our understanding of the mechanisms of the human disease and the methods we use in diagnostic pathology.

Objectives
As a result of the education, I intend to:

  1. Identify the key clinical findings in various human diseases and appropriate laboratory test methods used in the diagnosis
  2. Recognize the common and less common histological findings of various human diseases
  3. Understand how diagnostic methods have evolved and apply evidence-based criteria to choose the appropriate test methodologies/techniques
  4. Incorporate key molecular findings and/or surrogate markers into routine diagnostic pathology to improve diagnostic accuracy and provide prognostic and predictive information to clinical teams
