Overview
Attendees will engage in a full-day immersive program designed to explore the evolving intersection of artificial intelligence and health professions education. Building on the foundation of the inaugural event at UCSF — which convened faculty, staff, and students to examine AI’s transformative role in educational design and delivery. Participants will: • Hear keynote addresses from leaders in AI and medical education, framing the “why” of AI integration in teaching, assessment, and learner-support. • Engage in panel discussions and interactive sessions that examine current AI tools and methodologies. • Explore hands-on demonstrations where AI-driven educational technologies are showcased, enabling attendees to experiment with real-world applications.

Objectives

By the end of the symposium, participants will be able to:


  1. Identify and apply AI tools in clinical education to enhance and optimize learning experiences for trainees.
  2. Implement AI-driven teaching methodologies that improve learner engagement and educational outcomes in health professions education.
  3. Critically evaluate different AI tools and technologies to enhance pedagogical approaches and curriculum design.
