• Decrease smoking prevalence among the behavioral health community • Increase number of behavioral health smoke-free facilities • Increase number of behavioral health facilities who include cessation services in their existing treatment plans • Increase number of providers providing cessation services (NRT and counseling) to their clients • Decrease smoking prevalence among behavioral health professionals who serve clients who smoke

1. Recognize disparities in tobacco product consumption and receipt of tobacco treatment for people who have tobacco use disorder and other behavioral health conditions.
2. Identify the core components of tobacco treatment and how these should be provided in behavioral health settings.
3. Explain the impact of tobacco use on communities, the free quit support services offered through Kick It California, and the simple steps community partners can take to connect people to these resources.
4. Develop a tobacco-free policy for the behavioral health community.
5. Examine one way to implement systems change related to tobacco cessation among your organization’s staff and clients, through a wellness-based framework.

In support of improving patient care, the University of California, San Francisco Office of CME is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing at least 30 days before the conference start date will receive a refund of registration fees minus a [10%] administrative fee. Requests received between 30 days and 14 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the start date.
