Overview

CE Portal Training Series: Managing Live Activities in CloudCME

These training sessions are hands-on, interactive labs. The goal will be to complete a walk-through of course setup and maintenance with an activity of your choosing; however, if you do not have an activity ready to work on, you will be able to follow along with a test activity.

In addition to acting as an ‘administrator’ in the system, you will also experience what it’s like to be a faculty presenter, a peer reviewer, a learner/registrant, and an exhibitor (if applicable). Relevant materials and reference guides will be provided along the way.

These sessions will be held virtually over Zoom and a link will be available upon registration.

As the individual trainings are curricular in nature, you must complete module 1 before participating in module 2, and module 2, before module 3 or 4. The prerequisites are listed on each module's information page.

Live Activity Training Schedule

There are two types of live activities (that are not considered Regularly Scheduled Series):

Courses – one-time (annual or biennial) standalone single- or multi-day conferences

Series - recurring or serial activities that occur throughout the academic year and are approved under a single credit request. (This would include LIVE periodic seminars, webinars, podcasts, ECHO programs, conferences with the same content presented multiple times to different audiences, or longitudinal activities.)

In CloudCME, the workflow for the two live activity types is slightly different, so Training Module 1 will be presented separately for each type of activity: “Courses” (1A) and “Series” (1B).

Administrators who are only using OCME’s Registration/E-commerce services with a course number beginning with MMH should attend at least modules #1A or #1B (depending on your type of activity) and #4.

Sessions will be recorded, however most will be presented more than once.

1A for Courses	Brief Introduction covers basics about working within the system with a quick overview of the Attendee Portal, Application Dashboard, and Activity Editor. Applications, Activity Setup and Maintenance covers assigning owners and preparing the Course Details page, Assigning Faculty, building an Agenda, and opening registration in the context of the two types of live activities. 4	Learner Management, Materials & Reporting covers instructions for recording attendance and claiming credit; viewing registration and financial reports in real time; publishing a syllabus; preparing sign-in sheets, badges, and QR codes; obtaining evaluation survey data; and preparing to close the activity.
