Overview
The purpose of Hospital Medicine Grand Rounds is primarily for clinical improvement of Hospitalists and for making the career of hospital medicine more sustainable and providing knowledge and skills to faculty that can be applied to practice. This series is not interprofessional as it is focused on providing knowledge to hospitalists, however the series encourages the incorporation of interprofessional skills or speakers to deepen the hospitalists understanding of relevant issues. For example a prior talk on sleep in the hospital (Feb, 2023) the speaker (Arik Prather, PhD) spoke to our group as a highly accomplished sleep psychologist and not a physician. We will include a medicolegal expert (non-physician, lawyer) for our upcoming grand rounds schedule.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, the University of California, San Francisco Office of CME is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
